국제영화제 평가 지표를 이용한 부산국제영화제 운영의 평가

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to help make an efficient operational assessment of the Pusan International Film Festival through an objective assessment of measurement items for the evaluation of international film festivals. It conducted an operational assessment of measurement items by major participant groups of the Pusan International Film Festival, using International Film Festival Assessment Index. Overall operational assessments of Korea's international film festivals, have been made since 2005, using assessment indicators under the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. However, they are to survey the satisfaction degree of all international festivals that are held in Korea at the same time, not used for the efficient use of objective operational assessment of each film festival. This study, centering on the indicators of the Ministry of culture and tourism, used the attributes of satisfaction assessment of operational quality in viewers out of the assessment items of international film festivals ( 2005 to 2007) to apply to Pusan International Film Festival. It also draw the attributes of Pusan International Film Festival's own strengths and weaknesses to the attributes of assessment of International Film Festivals. This is to be helpful in a more efficient service for viewers through comparison of the attributes- strengths and weaknesses - of guests( cinephile) and the public( general public) in terms of primary data and the actors of film festivals in assessing the quality of management and operation of international film festivals in the future. The result of analysis, in Pusan International Film Festival, shows overall negative evaluation in operational assessment items and low ratings in technical problems with screening for both the general public and cinephiles and poor voluntary workers and staff for the event. Its strengths include films from a variety of countries and security facilities in the venues. This study presented the strengths and weaknesses of overall assessment items, through the ratings of the specific attributes of assessment items of the general public and cinephiles in international film festivals, hoping that it will be a useful reference material for operational assessment items by group.
