Automatic Control System for the Stringing Transmission Wire by the Measured Tension
Abstract
Modeling and tension control of a stringing transmission wire have received a great deal of interest in industrial field. As a transmission wire is stringed for a newly or exchanged working, it is necessary to keep a constant dip by controlled tension.
As transmission wire is installed by manual operation, it is necessary to scheme the automatic system for stringing transmission wire. For this necessity, the objective of this paper is developed automatic control system for a stringing of transmission wire.
In this paper, transmission wire with suspended pattern and ac servo motor for torque generating are modeled. On the basis of wire model, algorithms to determine the reference tension is presented, so as the dip of transmission wire is keep constancy.
Based on model for transmission wire with suspended pattern and ac servo motor for torque generating, the control scheme is proposed by feedback of the detected tension for a stringing transmission wire with a load cell.
To design the controller, there are a need for modeling of a stringing transmission wire, ac servomotor and control methode. Accordingly a model of a tension system can be seen in the equation of ac servomotor for generating torque and dynamic equation for a stringing transmission wire.
Based on this model, the simulation of tension control system discuss the characteristics' response and decides the parameters of the controller's elements.
The proposed scheme experimentally show that the performance of the tension response is satisfactory. And also proposed scheme verified the utilities for tension control of transmission wire.
