- Alternative Title
- Extraction of Road Superelevation Using by VRS RTK Data
- Abstract
- In this study, it is a goal to suggest an economical and efficient method to compare with design specifications after estimating the superelevation of the road based on three-dimensional data achieved by the VRS RTK method.
For verifying the VRS RTK data, the results of estimating the number of Satellite of Visibility(SV) and Posional Dilution of Precision(PDOP) are like these, the average number of the satellite is 6.60 and PDOP is 1.77. In this case, horizontal and vertical positioning RMSEs are 0.019m and 0.026m, as well as these values reflect that satellites' position is fine.
Moreover the superelevation is computed by 78 three-dimensional data based on the VRS RTK. The superelevation is compared by the design specifications, the results are that the mean errors on left and right side of the road are 0.170% and 0.117%. Thus, it is evaluated this utilized method, the VRS RTK, is useful in part of the field.
According to the research using by VRS RTK method, accurate superelevation can be achieved, henceforth in the part of safe diagnosis on road, the driving efficiency will be maximized and this process will become a working-level study.
