북한 핵실험 관련 국제정치 보도기사의 내용분석 연구

Abstract

This research used the social network research method to see whether the coverage of South Korean newspapers on the first & second of North Korean nuclear test differs from each other as the theme of the international political news. The number of articles in the South Korean newspapers on the first North Korea nuclear test period(421) is greater than that on the second North Korea nuclear test period(239). On the second period, the newspaper coverage faded more quickly than the first. It is probably because the attention by newspapers on the issue diminished as time passed by and thus deterred their readers in psychological shocks. The key word pattern by newspapers about the first and second North Korean nuclear tests were different from each other. The Co-word frequency of symbolic words(ex. confrontation) and six countries(South Korea, North Korea, China, Russia, Japan, U.S) found the relationships among countries and symbolic words. The newspapers' journalistic attitude towards the nuclear test crisis from the analysis of symbolic word pattern regarding the first and second North Korean are different from each other, thus implying that attitudes by South Korean newspapers on the nuclear test had become milder on the first test than the second.
