Abstract

As the economical importance of service industry increases, demand for service science professionals has been growing. However, there are few, if any, service science curricula for undergraduate students in universities over the world. In this thesis, a service science curriculum is developed for undergraduate students, which is aimed to be used in Pukyong National University. For this purpose, the previous works were carefully reviewed first which are relevant to developing a service science curriculum. Next, operating cases of service science curricula were widely investigated and analyzed. And then a field survey was conducted to catch the industry’s requirements. Based on these studies, the core subjects were selected, classified and transformed into specific courses. Considering the required knowledge for each course, a service science curriculum is proposed with an operating guideline.
