Analysis related variables between Teaching Effectiveness and Job Stress perceived by elementary school teachers
Abstract
This study aims to analyze related variables between teaching effectiveness and job stress at the elementary school level. The research factors for achieving the analyzation of the study are as follows.
First, do the personal background of teachers(sex, position, career and teaching grade) and school background(school size, school grade) contribute to their
teaching effectiveness ?
Second, do the personal background of teachers(sex, position, career and grade) and school background(school size, school grade) contribute to the job stress ?
Third, what are the relations between teaching effectiveness and job stress of elementary school
teachers ?
The subjects for this study were 215 teachers working at elementary schools in Busan. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 14.0. T-test, F-test and Pearson’s
product-moment coefficient of correlation were also analyzed.
The findings of the study were as follows :
First, researchers found that elementary school teachers’ career, gender, position were positively correlated with teaching effectiveness.
Second, researchers found that elementary school teachers’ career, academic degrees and school size were positively correlated with the job stress.
Furthermore, teaching effectiveness and job stress of elementary school teachers were negatively correlated.
In conclusion, the result of this study is that the teachers who have direct responsibility for school education were effected by the teaching effectiveness and the job stress.
Therefore, enhancing the teaching effectiveness and reducing the job stress are the essential subject leading to successful school education in the future.
