Abstract
Smart sensor is known as intelligent transducer, it is difference from other sensor have been used such us conventional transducer. Smart sensor has many benefit, it can make self-decision and self-diagnosis. Smart sensor consist of perception element (sensor), signal processing and technology of communications.
A bridge and a structure condition monitoring of smart sensor has been investigated. For example: low electric power consumption, software programming, fast data acquisition ability, authoritativeness warranty and inexpensive price.
This paper proposes the development of smart sensor such as high sampling rate, high resolution ADC for more detailed measurement, high memory capacity, communication for transmit data. Based on those reason, smart sensor can be applied in various industry field.
In addition, several thing has been developed such as self-diagnosis program can diagnose sensitivity of sensor, slip mode for lowest consumption of electric power and external SD-RAM that can store data accessorily.
