부산지역 특성화 및 전문계고등학교의 제품디자인교육 현황에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 부산지역 특성화 및 전문계고등학교의 제품디자인교육 현황에 관한 연구로서, 최근 국가적 관심으로 부상한 공공디자인 분야의 디자인교육 실태를 파악하고 트렌드에 발맞추어 고등학교 디자인 교육과정에서부터 공공디자인관련 교과목을 교육한다면 공공디자인은 빠르게 성장 할 것이라 생각하고, 본 연구의 필요성을 느껴 연구를 진행함에 궁극적인 목적을 두었다. 사전 연구조사를 통해 부산지역 제품디자인교육의 열악함을 파악하고 개선을 위한 방안으로 최근 국가적 관심으로 부상한 공공디자인교육을 고등학교 디자인교육에 도입하여 디자인교육의 성장을 도모하고자 하였으며, 이론 연구조사와 설문조사를 통해 연구한 내용을 바탕으로 향후 앞으로의 방향성을 제시하여 공공디자인이 고등학교의 디자인교육으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 활성화를 도모하려 한다. 이번 연구는 부산지역 제품디자인교육 현황에 관한 연구로서, 사전 조사를 통해 부산지역 제품디자인계열의 디자인학과 중 디자인교사를 보유한 경남공업고등학교 건축디자인학과와 부산디자인고등학교 인테리어디자인과를 선별하였다. 설문 내용을 통해 두 학교의 교사들은 공공디자인의 중요성을 많이 인지하고 있고 필요성을 느끼고 있지만 현실적인 교육과정에 아직 접목을 시키고 있지 못하고 있다. 일부 교사들에 의해 교육이 이루어지고 있지만 아직 미비한 실정이며 교과서 채택 또한 제한을 받고 있다. 학생들 또한 학습의욕 저하에 따른 전공의 무관심으로 교과과정, 실기 등에서 많은 문제점이 나타나고 있다. 전공의 무관심으로 인해 공공디자인 교육에 대해서 깊이 있게 이해하고 있지는 못했고 공공디자인교육의 필요성 또한 알고 있다는 답변이 모른다는 답변보다 조금 앞서있는 결과를 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 교사와 학생 중 교사의 의견에 더 많은 중요성을 두고 있다. 현재 고등학교 디자인 교과과정은 교사 중심으로 이루어지고 있고 학생의 의견도 중요하지만 교사가 큰 역할을 한다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 공공디자인교육이 고등학교의 디자인교육으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 활성화를 도모하기 위한 방안 및 방향에 대한 제안은 다음과 같다. 제품디자인계열의 디자인교육은 교과목 채택에 있어 한계가 있으며 다양성의 부족과 교과과정, 교과내용 또한 부족함을 알 수 있다. 공공디자인교육 또한 이루어지고 있지만 아직은 교과교육 수준이 많이 부족한 현실이다. 본문의 ??5-3. 제품디자인계열 공공디자인관련 교과목 현황 파악??에서 교과목을 제시하고 상세내용을 기술하여 교과목의 도입을 설명한 부분을 활용하고 각 교과목에서 공공디자인교육 내용에 도입될 수 있는 간략한 단락을 찾아 정리한 의 내용을 공공디자인교육에 적용한다면 공공디자인 관련 교육의 급속한 성장을 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것이다. 또한 고등학생들이 다양하고 폭넓게 공공디자인에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 많이 만들어주기 위해 청소년디자인전람회, 실기대회, 기능대회, 축제에서의 디자인경진대회 및 전시회 등을 활성화시켜 많은 참여를 유도하여 학습 의욕의 저하에 따른 디자인의 무관심을 해소해야 할 것이다. 체험학습을 통해 공공디자인을 몸소 겪어보고 공공디자인이 우리 가까이에 있음을 경험하게 하는 방법도 교과서적인 교육보다는 좋은 결과를 가져오리라 생각한다. 최근 공공디자인 전람회 및 전시회가 많이 개최되고 있음으로 전람회 및 전시회를 참관하는 체험교육도 좋은 효과를 가져 오리라 생각한다.

This study is to plan the growth of design education by introducing public design which has recently risen as a national concern in design education at high school in order to make understand and improve the weakness of product design in Busan and is to plan the activation by proposing future plans based on studies through the results of researches and questionnaires so that the public design can be included in design education at high school. There are various of limitations and restrictions in design education department of product design when the subjects are selected. It is also shown that diversity, curriculums and contents of curriculums are insufficient. Education of public design is also being attained slightly and the level of curriculums is not enough yet. As a solution of these kinds of problems, if we select the curriculums related to public design among the curriculums of product design, understand the curriculums, present the curriculums which can be applied to the education of public design, described them, and found the paragraphs which can be introduced to the contents of public design from each curriculum, and apply the arranged contents to education of public design. It could bring a fast growth in education concerning public design. The following is applicable contents to each subject. 1) subject of product design can be run associated with interior design and public facility design. 2) In a subject of craft, through the metal craft or wood craft, a modelling study which is a important element for environment design can be run. 3) In a subject of modelling a study of, public design such as the modelling expression, environment design and presentation design can be run. 4) In a design department, subject of design general can be sorted to product design, environment design and craft, which can be studied in each part in detail. 5) In a subject of color control, contents of importance of color and facility color planning and color and painting such as painting of environment structures and material can be studied. The subject of color control is very important in education of public design. 6) In a subject of furniture design, a study about public design of street facilities such as benches or public steel furniture can be run. 7) In a subject of interior design, when the interior design plans for space and design are studied, if the study goes side by side with environment design department and space and environment design are studied evenly, education can approach to the public design little by little. 8) In a subject of display, space planning can be done by using space plan presentation, properties, and presentation tools. 9) In a subject of general construction plan, education related to space design such as region space construction plan and city building plan can be run. 10) In a subject of construction, material, outside environment and so on in city building plan related to the subject of building plan can be studied. With previously mentioned curriculums, to make a lot of chances that high school students can attend public design diversely and widely, by activating many exhibitions in design fields for the youth, student arts competition, skills competition and festival, much participation should be induced and the indifference about design because of the lowering of students`desires should be removed. I think, through the experiencing study, going through the public design personally and experiencing that the public design exists near by us will bring better results than textual education. And also I think, the experiencing for education, visiting in public design fairs and exhibitions can bring positive effects as many as they are recently held.
