상황중심 의사소통 교육이 유아의 영어흥미에 미치는 효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 상황중심 의사소통 영어교육이 유아의 영어 흥미도에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보는데 있다. 즉, 주의 집중 시간이 짧고 단조롭게 반복하기를 지켜워 하는 유아들의 발달특성에 맞추어 유아가 체험하며 온몸으로 느낄 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 교수방법이 노래와 챈트 중심의 영어 학습 방법에 비해 영어에 대한 학습 흥미를 더 가져 올 수 있는지에 대해 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적에 따라 본 연구에서 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 상황중심 의사소통 영어교육 집단과 노래와 챈트를 중심으로 한 영어학습 집단간의 유아의 영어 학습 흥미도에 차이가 있을 것인가? 본 연구의 대상은 부산광역시에 위치한 D 유치원 2학급의 만 5세 유아로 상황중심 의사소통 영어활동 집단 25명, 노래와 챈트 중심의 영어수업방법에 참여한 집단 25명으로 구성하였다. 본 연구의 처치 기간 및 절차는 2008년 8월 첫째주 부터 9월 마지막 주까지 16회 수업에 걸쳐 예비검사, 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사 순으로 실시 하였다. 검사도구로 영어 흥미검사는 신혜연(2002)이 사용한 영어 학습 흥미도 설문지를 수정. 보완하여 사용하였다. 실험에 앞서 두 집단의 동질성을 확인하기 위하여 영어 학습 흥미도의 사전 검사 점수에 대한 t 검증을 실시하였으며, 사전. 사후 영어 흥미도에 대한 분석은 Windows SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 평균과 표준편차를 산출하고 t- 검증을 실시 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 상황중심 의사소통 영어활동 방법이 노래와 챈트 중심의 영어 학습 방법에 비해 학습흥미가 더 높다.

Purpose of this study is finding out effectiveness of English education though “Situation Language Teaching”, i. e. English study with experiencing with body will be more effective and cause more interest than emphasis on song and chant English study method to the infant with short attention time and do not like repeat same thing. With this purpose, assumption of this study is below. “Situation Language Teaching” study method will cause interest more effectively than existing English study to the infant? This study was realized in two classes aged under 5 in D kindergarten, Busan. Group was divided by two in 25 infants, during 16 times classes from first week of August 2008 to last week of September 2008, with Pre Test, Advanced Test, Main Test, and Post Test. For English interest test, questionnaire which Shin Hae Yeoun(2002) used English interest with revision. which was targeted to the infants age from 3 to 8. T - Verificaion was executed for uniformity between two study group for its English Study. Window SPSS 12.0 Program was used for Pre and Post English Interest analysis with average and criterion variation. The result of this study is below. English study through “Situation Language Teaching” study method shows higher learning interest than emphasis on song and chant English study method.
