온톨로지 기반 LBS/GIS 플랫폼 설계와 개인화 서비스 구현

Abstract

These days, GIS(Geographic Information System) infrastructure has been constructed and numerous GIS solutions are being developed. Also, the user tier of GIS based information systems such as LBS(Location based Service) and Telematics has been extended and purpose of GIS based information systems is being various. However, the development of user oriented technology in the international GIS is still below the level of the advanced country's technology. Every information system must provide retrieval function which is a means for communicating between the user and the system to users. Thus, we can say that the providing user oriented services, as the personalized service in information system, arises from providing intelligent retrieval functions. In this thesis, we proposed a LBS/GIS platform based on OpenLS specification of OGC, context ontology and web service architecture for providing the personalized service in LBS/GIS environment. Also, we tested our platform through the development of a LBS application and a Web GIS application which are life-GIS solutions based on designed platform. Developed systems can guarantee interoperability between systems using web service architecture and RDF(Resource Description Framework). Moreover, our system can solve problems about inconvenience of the existing key-word based retrieval through providing the personalized retrieval function. Also, realizing service of most researches using ontology is difficult because semantic web has been not yet revitalized. On the contrary, our proposed LBS/GIS platform and systems can be applied to the actual spot. In a word, proposed platform can be applied to every GIS based solution.
