중학교 함수단원에서 생활 속 응용문제를 중심으로 한 학습자료 개발연구

Abstract

The concept of function has been regarded as one of important subjects in mathematics. Function, which corresponds elements between two sets, is not only a common topic in arithmetic, algebra, geometry and probability curriculums in school but also a strong tool representing relations between input and output raised in real life and nature phenomena. Academic attainments on the concept of functions will be very helpful for middle school students to catch easily several kinds of social phenomena and to understand easily mathematical problems in high school. The purpose of this paper is to develop teaching materials for studying functions, which are based upon contents of function subject in middle school mathematics text books, in order to let middle school students know the relevance among mathematics problems and real problems in our real life, in order to find many things related to function in our real life and in order to give them powers to mathematically think about our real problems in our life.
