초등학교 아동의 분수 단원에서 오류유형 분석

Abstract

본 연구의 대상은 초등학생 80명을 대상으로, 수학학습부진아 30명, 일반아동 50명을 대상으로 실시하고, 연구방법은 분수 단원의 영역별 검사지를 이용하였고, 오류유형을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3학년 가 학기 중 전체와 부분의 크기 알아보기 4번 문항에서 전체에 대한 색칠하지 않은 부분을 나타낸 경우에서 부진아동 33.33%, 일반아동은 8.0%로써 오답률 비는 4.16으로 가장 크게 나타났으며, 부분과 전체를 바꾸어 생각한 경우의 오류유형이 제일 많이 나타났다. 둘째, 3학년 나 학기 중 분수크기 비교하기 12번 문항에서 부진아동은 26.66%, 일반아동 2.0%로써 오답률 비는 13.33으로 나타났으며, 분모가 큰 수가 크다고 생각하는 경우의 오류유형이 많이 나타났다. 셋째, 4학년 가 학기 중 분모가 같은 분수의 크기 비교의 17번 문항에서 부진아동 26.66%, 일반아동 4.0%로써 오답률 비는 6.66으로 나타났으며, 분자가 작은 것이 더 크다고 생각하는 경우의 오류유형이 많이 나타났다. 넷째, 4학년 나 학기 중 동분모 대분수끼리의 덧셈의 35번 문항에서 부진아동 86.66%, 일반아동은 16.0%로 두 집단 간 오답률 비는 5.41로 나타났으며, 답이 대분수, 즉 자연수+진분수로 이루어져야 하는데 자연수+가분수로 답이 나온 경우의 오류유형이 많이 나타났다. 본 연구에 참여한 아동 중 수학학습 부진아동은 수학교과에서 부진을 안고 있는 아동들이다. 이에 분수개념의 지도방법을 교사의 관심과 의도된 계획 하에 긍정적으로 개선하며, 공통된 오류유형을 미리 알고 학습이 이루어진다면 성공적인 효과를 볼 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

The focus of this study was the mathematic ability of 80 elementary schoolchildren. The children were separated into two groups based on mathematic ability: 50 students demonstrating average or above average ability and 30 students demonstrating below average ability. The method of study was conducted surveying the realm of fraction unit, and the following conclusions were reached: First, question 4, investigated size comparison of fractions and whole parts in the third first semester is measured the percentage of error of students who confused part and whole. For example, the selection of uncolored parts for the whole resulted in 8.0% of the above average children and 33.33% of the below average children. So the incorrect answer ratio between two groups was 4.16, the largest contributor to data in this unit. Second, question 12, comparison of two fractions in the third second semester is measured the percentage of error of students who thought a larger denominator was bigger than other denominators. This resulted in 2.0% of the above average children and 26.66% of the below average children. The ratio of incorrect answers between two groups was 4.16 Third, question 17, compared size of fractions with the same denominator in the fourth first semester is measured the percentage of error of students who thought a smaller numerator was bigger than others resulted in4.0% of the above average children and 26.66% of the below average children. The ratio of the incorrect answers between two groups was 6.66. Fourth, question 35, added mixed numbers with the same denominators in the fourth second semester is measured the percentage of error of students who thought the answer should produce a mixed number. The result was 16.0% of the above average children and 86.66% of the below average children selected a natural number plus an improper fraction, not a mixed number, that is, a natural number plus a proper fraction. The ratio of the incorrect answers between two groups was 5.41. Among the children who participated in this study, the below average students were those who are slower in the subject of math. Therefore, improving methods of education to recognize fractions and teacher’s abilities to teach intended programs are essential. If a common type of error is identified, this can be accounted for; a successful result can be expected.
