Abstract

According to variable society's modernization and industrialization, the increase of childcare and its interest are getting bigger. The present childcare condition of its facilities continually increasing, the government attempt to support and expand childcare facilities according to childcare environmental needs. However, in case of infant childcare, the percentage of utilizing facilities is low and these are appeared as given up career of women and infant childcare problems. In addition, Although in accordance with modernization, many childcare facilities are became diverse, the proper facility regulation of infant childcare facilities are not clear and caused by the absence of studying beforehand, it needs architectural planning on Space composition which proper to the current situation. The objective of this study is for architectural planning investigation concerned with space composition of infant childcare facilities, considering about childcare facilities, grasping the current childcare condition in Busan and around the country, analyzing pending problem of diversified infant childcare facilities, through the research on the actual condition finding features and problems, suggesting the direction of architectural planning about space composition. Consideration about childcare facilities are divided into the concept and characteristics of childcare facilities, the definition and features of infant, the concept of infant childcare facilities. After the grasp of current situation of childcare facilities present Dec. 31st. 2005, the number of facilities and workers are highest in Busan nationally, the number of children are the second highest, the portion of Busan for the infant facilities childcare shows high. For grasp the demands of workers, space composition and plane speciality of infant childcare facilities, we chose research object and made actual investigation. Actual investigation composed of 2 divided into the facility environment survey focused on plane, survey for the teacher, through combining the results of actual investigation, concludes pending problems and characters. By combining space concept which was dealt in present studying materials and current status reflected on the survey from corporate middle-sized infant childcare facilities, analyze the space for users. Space analysis classified as space function and location analysis, educational space, service field, administration, by establishing the plan direction, suggested architectural planning direction concerns with infant childcare space composition. This study was taken place for the object of facilities using whole structure for the purpose of infant, based on this, suggest by analysing architectural planning direction connected with infant childcare facilities space composition. The appropriate space composition for the infant will be helpful developing the infant and became means enriching the quality of childcare for the related worker and considered parental childcare satisfaction will be increasing. In the future, we expect continual studying for infant childcare facilities which is appropriate for our country and also diverse and various architectural studying of infant childcare facilities.
