공정의 운전조건 및 폭발을 고려한 플랜트 레이아웃과 방폭벽 위치 최적화에 대한 연구
- Abstract
- Plant layout is one of the most important factors for determining total plant construction cost. To determine the layout, various installation environments, operating conditions, safety regulations, economics, materials, etc. should be considered together. In addition, engineering experiences, insights, and creativities should be combined to maximize the plant's performance.
In general, the layout problem is solved based on a MINLP(Mixed Integer Non-Linear Programming) model with the objective function and various constraints. A few previous researchers have attempted to combine safety problems with an objective function. Design procedures at actual industrial sites consider safety issues to mitigate potential accidents after the entire plant layout has been determined. Thus, this would follow partical design procedures.
This study aims to provide a systematic procedure how to determine the optimal location of equipment and blast walls, under real engineering procedures. Two step optimization problems are introduced. The first step is to find the optimal location of process equipment considering the operating costs, the installation costs of pipelines and various safety constraints. The second step is to decide the optimal location of the blast walls to maximize the mitigation effect on potential explosions under a fixed capita.
This study employed PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) techniques on MATLAB, to find the best solutions of two-step optimization problems. DMR(Dual Mixed Refrigerant), which is liquefaction process of LNG-FPSO is tested to verify efficacy of propsed two-step optimization approaches.
