초·중등학교 UCC 서비스를 위한 시스템 설계 및 컨텐츠 제작방안

Abstract

교육정보화는 교과서, 교사의 판서와 설명이 주가 되었던 전통적인 교실 환경에 교수학습 방법의 혁신과 학생들의 학업 향상을 가져왔다. 특히 부산에서는 교육연구정보원이 탄생되어 교육 환경은 VOD 시스템을 호스팅 하는 형태가 되어 대부분의 학교에서 쉽게 교육영상자료를 서비스 받을 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 현재 부산교육연구정보원으로 VOD 호스팅을 하고 있는 초ㆍ중고등학교 246개교를 대상으로 컨텐츠 종류와 수량을 조사하고 학생들의 관심도를 제시한다. 또한, VOD서비스의 문제점인 컨텐츠 제작에 대한 업로드 방법의 어려움과 버퍼링으로 인한 동영상 재생의 기다림과 교육영상의 화면크기와 화질저하를 해결하고 쉽게 교육영상을 제작하고 서비스하는 UCC 서비스 개념과 이론적 배경을 문헌을 통해 설명하다. 그 후 각 학교 현장에 맞는 플래시 기반의 UCC 시스템 구축 방안과 컨텐츠 제작 메뉴얼을 제시한다. 마지막으로 제안한 방법을 이용해 실제 컨텐츠를 제작하여 학생들의 호감도를 조사해 좋은 결과를 얻을 것으로 보인다. 제안 방법에 의한 UCC 컨텐츠 제작은 디지털 카메라, 휴대폰 카메라, 캠코더 등의 간이 장비를 가지고 제작할 수 있으며 학교, 학부모, 학생들의 손쉬운 참여로 교육정보화 컨텐츠의 다양화 및 내실화를 기할 수 있다.

E-learning has introduced innovative learning methods that can take the place of typical classroom environments (characterized by the use of textbooks and the teacher writing on the blackboard), thus contributing to the improvement of the students' scholastic performance. This is especially observable in the educational environments in Busan, where most schools have ready access to educational images and video materials, thanks to VOD system hosting and the newly established Busan Education Research and Information Center. This study was conducted to determine the content types and quantities used in the 246 elementary, middle, and high schools in Busan that are hosting the VOD system from Busan Education Research and Information Center, as well as to identify the current state of that system and to examine the relevant materials. For this purpose, the UCC service concept and theological background were proposed in this study to solve the problems of VOD service, such as difficulty in content uploading and the long waiting time for video playing due to buffering, as well as the poor image quality of educational videos. Flash-based UCC system building methods and a content production manual for such system, which suit the educational system and status of each school, were suggested in this study. Lastly, a survey was conducted to determine whether the students favor the contents that had been developed based on the suggestions of this study. UCC content production based on the suggestions made in this study can be effectively pursued with the use of electronic equipment like digital cameras, cellular phone cameras, and camcorders. Furthermore, not only teachers but students as well can easily participate in such content production, thus contributing to the diversification and substantiation of educational contents.
