탑상형 공동주택에서의 범죄불안감 감소를 위한 건축 계획적 요소에 관한 연구

Abstract

The study, in an attempt to identify the architectural planning factors that would ease the fear of crime at the tower apartment building, conducted a case study and survey focusing on monitoring, community awareness, accessibility and image, and as a result of comparing among the sites at four different locations, the four factors such as monitoring, community awareness, accessibility and image proved to be the factors causing the residents’feeling of uneasiness against the crime. In the wake of analyzing the case study and survey, the architectural planning factors influencing on fear of the crime appealed to have included the followings. First, a layout of the structure and monitoring appeared to have had a close relationship each other Second, when it comes to the accessibility, it proved to have had a considerable effect on resident’s uneasiness against the crime at the apartment complex in downtown and the outskirt of a city. Third, a floor space index and a floor-area ratio were found to have affected on revitalizing the exterior space. That is, the higher the floor space index and the floor-area ratio, the larger and higher the apartment complex, resulting in creating a dark and shadowed atmosphere and providing the criminal with the anonymity and the shield. Fourth, when it comes to the car parking, monitoring, ventilation and natural lighting proved to have affected resident’s feeling of uneasiness. Fifth, in the night, the number of street lamp and illumination were the factors causing the residents to fee the fear of crime. Sixth, diverse facilities for the residents installed within the complex appeared to have affected the monitoring and the sense of territory. Seventh, when it comes to overall image of the apartment complex, monitoring the non-resident going in and out of the complex and differentiating the complex from the outside were the important factors affecting the image of the apartment complex. The study was intended to approach from the viewpoint of resident’s fear of crime in a bid to prevent the crime at the tower apartment building, and as a basic study to introduce the architectural planning factors to ease the feeling of uneasiness of the residents, it proposed the architectural planning factor to identify and reduce the elements that cause the fear of crime.
