CAD/CAE/CAM을 활용한 금형가공에 관한 연구
- Abstract
- Small quantity batch production is recent trends of mold manufacturing. In this trend, the research on the mold manufacturing has been made extensively because the shape of product is required more high accuracy and quality. Recently, the product with desired accuracy only using CNC milling machine can be achieved and also it became possible to improve productivity by minimizing additional treatment process.
Al6061 is widely used as a material of the injection mold for the rubber material, such as shoe soles, but research on the mutuality between the cutting force and surface roughness is relatively insufficient.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship with the surface roughness and cutting force for the die shape and factor change using CAD/CAE/CAM. RPM and feed rate, step over were chosen as the main factor for cutting force. In order to estimate the correlation between cutting force and surface roughness, cutting force was predicted using the DOE(design of experiments) & DEFORMTM-3D(software of finite element analysis), surface roughness was measured by experiments. The optimal level for each factor was considered, and evaluated the most effective factor among factors using Taguchi method(one of design of experiments). The results of this study suggest that the machining conditions to obtain a particular surface roughness, which is based on measured value, can be derived.
