수학사를 활용한 중학교 기하영역 수업지도 방안

In this thesis, we surveyed 226 middle school students to see the learning effect on the class using the materials of mathematics history, and analyzed the results. And we also researched the materials of mathematics history are printed on different 7 mathematics textbooks for middle school 2nd grade's geometry area. In addition, we proposed a teaching guidance plan using the materials of mathematics history in middle school 2nd grade course.
According to the results, about 66 percent of the students answered that the class using mathematics history offers help on mathematics learning. However, there was distinct difference in satisfaction for the materials of mathematics history in textbooks by the middle schools and the level of the class. And the students wanted the materials of mathematics history in the following order: anecdotes related to mathematics, origin for mathematical symbols and terminologies, and paperwork of famous mathematicians, etc.
The result shows that the textbooks doesn't contain enough materials of mathematics history to make students interested in and confident for mathematics. Therefore we suggest to develope the suitable materials of mathematics history for course content and utilize them properly in mathematics learning guidance.
