고등학교 영어교과서와 대학수학능력시험 소재 분석
- Abstract
- The purposes of this study are to examine the congruity of topics between high school English textbooks and topic-selecting criteria recommended in the 2009 revised national curriculum, the congruity of topics between College Scholastic Ability Tests and topic-selecting criteria recommended in the 2009 revised national curriculum, and topics distribution between high school English textbooks and College Scholastic Ability Tests.
Major findings can be summarized as follows: Topics presented in the 2009 revised national curriculum were not well distributed in the high school English textbooks. Topics about common knowledge were the most popular in the high school English textbooks. Thus, textbook writers must consider how well the topics are distributed when writing high school English textbooks. Topics presented in the 2009 revised national curriculum
were not well distributed in College Scholastic Ability Tests. Academic topics were the most popular in College Scholastic Ability Tests, whose purposes are to evaluate students' academic ability. The comparison of the topics distributed between the high school English textbooks and College Scholastic Ability Tests showed that topics were not well distributed in both educational materials.
