점망둑, Chasmichthys dolichognathus의 최종 성숙(GVBD)과 배란 유도에 미치는 Prostaglandins과 pH의 영향

Abstract
Prostaglandins (PGs), arachidonic acid (AA) and cyclooxygenase (COX) metabolites, and pH of the incubation medium have been implicated in final maturation and ovulation in teleost.
The purpose of this studies was to investigate the effect of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) and medium pH on in vitro oocyte maturation (germinal vesicle breakdown, GVBD) and ovulation of the marine fish, Chasmichthys dolichognathus. The oocytes of 0.80, 0.84, 0.89 and 0.94 mm were incubated with 5, 50 and 500 ng/ml of PGE2 and PGF2α for 24 hours. And the oocytes of 0.84, 0.91 and 0.95 mm were incubated with 7.2, 7.4, 7.7, 8.0 and 8.3 medium pH for 24~36 hours. In the oocytes of 0.84 mm and 0.94 mm, PGE2 significantly induced on GVBD at 50 ng/ml compare with control but PGF2α had no significant effect on GVBD and ovulation. In the oocytes of 0.80 mm and 0.89 mm, PGE2 and PGF2α had no significant effect on GVBD and ovulation at the concentration tested. No significant differences on GVBD and ovulation were observed in medium pH levels. The results suggest that PGE2 may induce GVBD at 50 ng/ml.
