SAR영상을 이용한 제주주변 해역 수심 추출

Abstract
Satellite images are possible to collect data At various spatial and temporal range. The accuracy is worse than a way to get the information directly. But It can be the most economical way to obtain spatial information. Water depth of the coastal area is important in safety about Human activities such as fishing, as well as Ships passing through the shallow depth area.
but it is difficult to obtain a water depth data in difficult survey area. Therefore, If the depths of the unattainable data area, To use the satellite image it can be referred to as the only alternative. In this paper, Water depth extraction method was studied. SAR images are not affected by the turbidity than that of the optical image of the ocean. Regardless of the weather conditions, It has the advantage of extracting depth of the coast is possible. Waves in the deep ocean to the coastal area is proceeding slowly propagate farther the shallower depths. It is the theoretical basis of the research to extract the depth using a SAR satellite images. in other words, Wavelength is shorter in shallow water than deep water. The wavelength and frequency of the wave was calculated using the dispersion relation of surface gravity waves. In this paper, Water depth was extracted in Jeju, The accuracy and usability was verified.
