A Study on the Teaching and Learning Method of : Focus on meaning aspect of Female Speakers
Abstract
education so far has been taught to learners in an aspect that it deals with 'loyalists' love song for their king'. The importance of the meaning of the female speakers in , however, has been overlooked. By reviewing the aspect of the female speakers manifesting in , this paper attempts to have a new understanding of the gist of education on the female speakers, which recently is taking place in the academic field of classic poetry.
As a work that involves multiple female speakers, has been steadily educated to learners in schools with respect to 'the female speakers'. But it focuses on the subject of 'loyalists' love song for their king' and puts emphasis only on a highly noble and pure female image. Although the noble and pure image in is an aspect of the female speakers that expresses the writer's loyalty to the king and thus its importance should be educated to learners, attention needs to be paid to the aspect of the female speakers required by the writer and the era.
The female speakers in do not simply function as a tool to express the writer's loyalty effectively but performs a function as a 'cultural representation' as well. In other words, the female speakers in can be seen as speakers on which a prisoner's consciousness at the time is projected. The female speakers in are not female images in the real world but those otherized by the writer, Jeongcheol, who did not actually exist. Therefore, only when the interpretation of the female speakers' meaning go beyond the loyalists' love song for their king and reaches up to the otherized aspect, learners will be able to fully understand the context of classic poetry.
As a part of liberal arts education, education of classic poetry ultimately aims to add up awareness of the question of me and my living so as to achieve the totality of life. The poetic speakers on which the past view is reflected are reorganized by learners in present educational venues. Education of female speakers in will help learners empathize diachronically and synchronically with the era in which was written and give them an opportunity to reconstruct the meaning of the female speakers in present life.
