친환경양식 수산물 수요에 관한 연구
- Abstract
- This study estimates ex ante demands for Environmental-friendly fishery product. Since price and quantity data of Environmental-friendly fishery products do no exist, this study develops a methodology that enables us to estimate demands for these products consumer survey.
The price and quatity of consumption for Environmental-friendly flatfish and rockfish are generated using consumer survey results as well as the observed market data of price and quantity for general flatfish and rockfish.
The survey data were collected from 490 consumers living in four cities (Busan, Ulsan, Changwon, Jinju) in April, 2014.
The demand function was estimated by utilizing surveyed data of consumers’ purchasing rate according to price of flatfish and rockfish and the price data of general flatfish and rockfish besides the quantity of demand data.
With Environmental-friendly flatfish products, we can predict its own price and income by using the demand function estimation result, and in the case of Environmental-friendly rockfish products, we can predict the reaction based on its own price and general rockfish products.
Therefore, we can find the meaning of the formed price by using provided basic information, in order to maintain changes from our general method caused by using Environmental-friendly way.
