Abstract

This study measured the aging and physical properties of NR blends by mechanical mixing type. The measurements were conducted using a moving die rheometer (MDR), universal testing machine (UTM), compression set and dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA).
The properties of aging properties decreased with increasing BR contents. Specially the tensile strength and elongation at break decreased. Also scorch time and optimum cure time increased. Dynamic characteristics determined from a Eplexor(GABO) generally showed single glass transition() for the entire blends, peak monotonically shifted toward the lower temperature with the increasing BR contents.
