SiC 분말 첨가에 따른 CFRP 적층 복합재의 파괴거동 및 AE 주파수 분석에 관한 연구

Abstract
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic(CFRP) with a higher specific strength and rigidity is more excellent than metallic materials, Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic(GFRP) or other organic polymer of FRP which has excellent character for such corrosion or rupture. In has widely used for vehicle, aerospace and high technology industry which associated with nuclear power field. CFRP laminated composite is damaged by delamination with matrix brittleness which depends on the weak point of crack initiation. In order to improve the physical vulnerability to affect the cracking and breaking of the matrix between the fibers by CFRP laminated composite, the reinforced powder was added to the matrix. And it is difficult to identify the character when reinforcement material breaks. Thus, a possible prediction technique is needed to investigate the behavior of fracture characteristics when CFRP laminated composites break. AE technique is useful for observation of the occurrence of defects in a real time. It obtains an elastic wave generated by the change of the solid fracture inside.
In this present work, the mechanical behavior of CFRP laminated composite reinforced with SiC powder which has excellent specific strength and thermal shock resistance characteristics was investigated by the AE method. The 1wt% of SiC powder was injected into the prepreg using a spray coating method. Then a tensile test was performed to obtain basic mechanical and AE signal properties of material and fracture test was performed by using the CT specimen to obtain fracture toughness. Also, by performing AE method at the same time, amplitude, frequency AE parameter and waveform spectrum data were acquired by the characteristic signal according to the crack extension. The obtained results can usefully be applied to the integrity evaluation of CFRP laminate composite structure reinforced with SiC powder.
