안전한 차량 통신을 위한 익명 인증서 취소 검증 모듈 설계 및 구현
- Abstract
- Due to the convergence of advanced car and IT technologies, modern smart vehicles are equipping on-board units (OBUs) including computing and communication modules, GPS receiver, navigation system with digital map, and so on. Such smart vehicle technology enables vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) using vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructre (V2I) communications on the roads.
For secure vehicular communication, not only ensuring the reliability of the driving safety messages exchanged among vehicles but also providing anonymous authentication techniques to protect the privacy of the drivers are required.
In this thesis, we analyze the SCMS (Security Credential Management System) proposed by the RITA (Research and Innovative Technology Administration) of US DoT (Department of Transportation) for securing vehicle-to-vehicle communications. Specifically, we focus on certificate management and certificate revocation service in order to analyze the SCMS. In addition we implement the anonymous certificate revocation check module for SCMS and evaluate the performance to demonstrate the efficiency of the revocation checking mechanism.
