간호사의 재난대처교육에 대한 필요성 인식과 실태 및 대처지식이 재난대처능력에 미치는 영향

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to define the influence of disaster preparedness education necessity awareness , actual educational status, preparedness knowledge, certainty of knowledge and disaster preparedness risk on nurses' disaster preparedness.
Methods: A total of 160 nurses having over 3 months of clinical experience in general hospitals which had more than 100 beds in a metropolitan city were included. Data collection was conducted in January 2016. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Partial correlation and multiple regression using SPSS 21.0 version.
Results:
1. When one examines disaster preparedness abilities according to socio-demographics of the nurse, higher positions had significantly higher disaster preparedness abilities with the head nurse showing 3.35±0.63 and staff nurse showing 2.92±0.63 (F=3.78, p=.025).
The results verified the difference between disaster preparedness abilities according to the existence of educational programs on disaster in hospitals for nurses. They showed higher disaster preparedness abilities if they had educational programs in hospitals about natural disasters (t=3.59, p<.001), accidents (t=2.61, p=.010) and infectious diseases (t=2.55, p=.012). In case of completing the education on disaster within a year moreover, they showed meaningfully higher disaster preparedness abilities for natural disasters (t=3.51, p=.001), accidents (t=2.27, p=.024), and infectious diseases (t=2.70, p=.008).
2. The average rating of necessity awareness of disaster preparedness abilities was shown in natural disasters (3.69±0.63), accidents (4.07±0.64) and infectious diseases (4.33±0.57). Also, the average rating of knowledge of disaster preparedness was 0.73±0.12 and the degree of confidence about the correctness of this knowledge was 2.74±0.30.
3. This study shows meaningful correlations about the existence of educational programs in hospitals and disaster preparedness abilities (r=.26, p=.001), and shows meaningful correlations about educational experience within a year and disaster preparedness abilities (r=.26, p=.001). It also shows negative similarity about disaster preparedness knowledge and abilities (r=-.20, p=.011). Furthermore, there is a positive correlation between certainty of knowledge and disaster preparedness ability because the study showed r=.23, p=.003 as a result.
4. The meaningful factors affecting disaster preparedness abilities showed necessity awareness of infectious disease education (β=-.21, p=.028) and degree of confidence about the correctness of knowledge (β=.19, p=.025).
