온실가스·에너지 목표관리제가 대상기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향

Abstract

As government put a law called “framework act on low-carbon, green growth” in force on 2010, ‘Greenhouse Gas and Energy Target Management System’, which is a core system of the act, has begun in earnest. The system has been implemented since 2010 by selecting Controlled entities (enterprise or place of business). The aim of this study was to enhance the system’s, adaptation to climate change and energy self-sufficiency, competitiveness by conducting management results analysis targeting southeast area regional management companies. Management companies, which were selected by Korean’s government for system implementation, were expected to have more business benefits compared to the other companies. Therefore, management results of selected companies were measured in terms of profitability, growth, business activity, and stability, in order to verify whether the selected management companies brought improved management results or not. Southeast area regional management companies, which were selected for the system implementation between 2010 and 2014, were targeted. Furthermore, their management results for the duration of between two years before and two years after being selected Controlled entities were analyzed by regression analysis. The independent variable was Controlled entities subject to Greenhouse Gas and Energy Target Management System’ The dependent variable was management results (profitability, growth, business activity, and stability). As a result, selected management companies showed improved management results in terms of profitability, growth, business activity, and stability, after they were selected by Korean’s government for system implementation. Finally, this result can influence administration of selected regional Controlled entities by suggesting effective application of the system.
