Abstract

This research applied to fuel an illustration to identify the type of expression. The study selected 22 books of domestic and 23 books of international children literature Which is awarded since 2010. The number of cases in selected were classified as line, shape, texture, composition, expression style, expression, and classfied the cases of children and parents. Implemented comparative analysis with their preferred type of illustrations. Based on the results and those analyzed problems, found the ways to improve of illustration book for children. Domestic and international children’s books. applied to fuel an illustration which analyzes the survey of children and parents based on the type of speech is as follows. First, in case of illustrate of expression, domestic children’s books regared, the implication of the local cover cases of form and free expression as the main. But as international, they are focussing to deliver concrete form and reconstruction of the subject in the text. Second, as children’s preferences on the type of illustrating expression showed differences with the first paper in value and types. Third, in preferences of parents about the expression type of illustration which is the most commonly applied in overseas children’s book, was appeared identical results with the value. So children even simpler to fit into children’s eyes searching the favorite book illustrations will must be addressed to solve. Picture books seemed to have close relationship on their sales volumes between preference of parents and preference of international. In the future, simplified classification of the illustration could help understanding carried out as additional, we could be expented to contruct the way that favorite type of those parents were able to be applied also their children.
