중국의 신형도시화 배경하에 농민공의 시민화에 관한 연구

Abstract

A terminology “new urbanization” was first called at the meeting of the Communistic party in 2002. “The new urbanization” problem-“husbandry inside cities”. First generation of husbandry communities served as cheap labor forces during the economic boom period of China. However, due to the soft touch policy of Chinese authorities, husbandry communities were ruled out of benefits which were provided for urban population and consequently those husbandry communities used to face discrimination by urban people. Since Global Crisis in 2008, Chinese government has changed its economic orientation and China has been transferring from the country of export-oriented state to high-domestic-demand state. Tough Chinese population is huge, this number is not enough to enlarge the size of high-domestic-demand market. Therefore, the local authorities are focusing on the husbandry communities inside of the cities in order to enlarge the domestic demand ratio. The new urbanization policy which is being propelling by Chinese government focuses on “urban” which implies “human’s urbanization”. Therefore, this policy can be defined as a policy of urbanization of those husbandry people who used to be discriminated before. Another purpose of this research is to analyze the results of carried out works in those regions where the “the new urbanization” program has already been implementing. One of those province is Henan province, This study deeply analyzes about impacts of “new urbanization” program on the social and economic life of Henan Province, movement trend of people from husbandry settlements to the downtown part of the city and brings evidences from collected data. In order to achieve the above mentioned purposes the author applied the number of previous literature reviews of Chinese, Korean and other scholars. First, the author provides the theory of human immigration / movement and brings evidences how it has been working in the case of China and its specificities in China.
