Abstract
This study had focus on recovery of juvenile abalone adductor muscle fiber degeneration by investigating on histological effect of bio energy water. These samples were divided two group which were control group and treatment group. The juvenile abalones were average weight 0.63 ± 0.21 g in control group, 0.55 ± 0.10 g in treatment group and fed by commercial diet level 10 % of their body weight one times per day. The experiment was fed juvenile abalone in excessive feed by commercial feed, then apply bio energy water for three months at aquaculture farm in South Jeollanam-do Wando County. The experiment was selected juvenile abalone for dissecting, Hematoxyline and Eosin (H & E) for evaluating muscle fiber histology. Control group Pearson Chi-Square = 0.86 and treatment group Pearson Chi-Square = 0.79. First sample was found muscle fiber which was under developing, then appeared clearly of Epimysuim and Endomysuim surround muscle fiber in control group and treatment group. Control group in second sample started develop muscle fiber, but appearing necrosis of muscle fiber hypertrophy, vacuolization, and loss. Treatment group in second sample was muscle fiber degeneration which not receives effecting of bioenergy water for one month. Third sample was still has muscle fiber degeneration in control group for two months. Third sample was muscle fiber degeneration by atrophy, necrosis, and loss muscle fiber in treatment group for two months. At fourth sample of control group fail to recovery muscle degeneration by stilling appear muscle fiber degeneration for three months. The treatment group was not successful to recovery muscle fiber by applying bio energy water for three month, because it histology not significant different between second and third sample with appearing muscle necrosis, Epilysium, and Endomysium.
In conclusion, these negative results are probably from the difference in the feeding environment because in case of adults, feeding was not done. Therefore the same kind of experiment under the fasting environment should be needed in case of juvenile, exactly to check the usefulness of the bio energy water because of the possibility of overwhelming effect of overfeeding.
