A Study on the Advanced Method of Business Analysis for Data Modeling
Abstract
When design a database it follows the same procedure like, requirement analysis, conceptual modeling, logical modeling, physical modeling, and database construction. Perform the requirements analysis step first for data modeling there are various methodologies for analyzing requirements. However, most of these methods are not suitable for who are inexperienced about practical business or data modeling, because when use these methods they need to clearly understand corporate affairs and have a lot of experience of development practitioners.
In the prior study, it presented a requirement analysis method can easily be used by practicing beginners through the derivation of the target business, but this method has a problem that the complexity of the procedures and unnecessary operations lead to a decrease in the efficiency of the analysis activities.
In this paper, we simplified the procedures and removed unnecessary operations of prior study method in order to solve this problem. We also used these two methods for the same business specification and compared the results. The advanced method was proved that it can be easier used by compared to the prior study method in terms of overall procedural and detailed steps.
Because of this paper focuses on the analysis of business for data modeling, it is expected that the future processes of data modeling will proceed as future research by using this proposed method.
