Abstract

Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced the basic plan for port 2016-2020 revised to strengthen international competitiveness and logistics functions through ports. Korean is highly dependent on trade, which is related to international competitiveness. In order to have power of logistics in Northeast Asia, overcoming the external growth limit of port and creating added value through the disriparks are extremely essential. Before discussing the development plan of disriparks behind Busan Newport, I will analyze financial data of logistic centers. I collected management performances of the logistic centers until 2015 of distriparks behind Busan Newport. I analyzed of growth, profitability, liquidity and activity of the logistics center by the five-year index. In addition, I conducted the regression analysis by selecting independent variables that affect profitability. The results of this study are as follows. First, the logistics centers should manage capital-intensive. Second, they should increase corporate value by cultivating professional manpower. Third, they need to expand their business domain. Finally, the financial stability should be managed. There is a research limitation due to the limited number of data and limited area studies. There is no data on the management status of logistics centers on overseas as a role mode. In addition, no qualitative evaluation through logistic expert interviews or surveys was performed in this study. I hope this study will help to secure the competitiveness of distriparks behind Busan new port.
