어업환경변화에 따른 대형선망어업의 경영성과 분석

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out environment change effects of large purse seine fishery by analyzing on management performance of the fishery. Thus, a thorough survey on current management states and field study of the fishery were carried out. It also tried to estimate MSY and MEY through the bio-economic analysis. Futhermore, an analysis on management performance of the fishery was conducted to underpin degree of changes of catch amount, cost, and price by the fishery environment change. As a result, first, it is found that the large purse seine fishery had financial instability and steadily decrease of the fishery income. In addition, regulatory policies such as the restriction of size, closed-season, and period of suspension of the fishing were implemented, and especially the sensitivity on climate change was the largest among domestic offshore fisheries. Therefore, large purse seine fishery is expected to be in unstable environments with high possibility of fluctuation of management performance. Second, The result of bio-economic analysis on annual time series data of mackerel catch amount and horsepower from 1976 to 2014 indicated that if the fishing effort(horsepower) is reduced about 33%, the fishery profit is increased about 2.7 times. Third, the level of sales profit according to scenario changes of the fishery environment factors and the limit range to make a profit were estimated. The result showed that if the fishing conditions such as the number of fishing days and trips are kept the same, the catch amount should be more than about 95,542 tons, the fishery cost should be less than about 9.5 billion won, and the mackerel price should be more than about 1,389 won per kilogram.
