Abstract
As the research on big data continues to improve day by day, we have already reached a level where users can take profit of various kinds of multimedia contents linked with video, sound and document work on the internet. Hence, developing a collaborative system in which users can share thoughts and contents between them, a system that can generate high quality contents based on those shared thoughts is, not only a challenging task, but also an interesting topic. By using the collaborative system services such as Amazon.com, Story Writer and Google Story Builder, we can expect real improvement of those systems concerning the fact of allowing users to create stories as fast as possible, with an assured quality and the possibility of monetizing the created contents.
Introducing a collaborative system capable of automatically generating high quality stories by just using the contents shared by the users will induce various effects such as subtitles, sound effects, background music and images for the generated story. The OpenScenario service is a collaborative system that analyzes the structure of different scenarios, which are the basis of video production, in order to define or generate a narrative structure for the created story. The advantage of this service is that it can be easily created by ordinary users who may not be specialists of video production.
To develop a collaborative system that can automatically generate stories, a story is frist created on a storyboard to make shots for constructing a scene of a video. By shot, we mean the elements necessary for story creation such as characters, conversations between those characters, sound effects and location of a person. In order to complete one scene by linking several shots, we will have a high degree of perfection if we share the roles through discussions among the collaborative users and if we add various effects necessary for the story creation.
In this paper, we use existing file sharing methods in our story creation collaborative system. The shared data between collaborative users is stored in repository. But there is a problem with this method: sometimes, conflict occurs between the saved data occasioning damage of some of the saved story files, which can be permanently lost. In the proposed method in this paper, the user moves the created story data to the story data list module before storing it in the repository in a such a way that the collaborative users can read that data in the story data list and vote on the appropriate data.
Through experiments, we confirmed that the proposed method solves the problem of collision of story data and missing data in the repository. Also, since collaborative users vote for the right story, there is no confusion about the previous shot, so the linkage between the shot is appropriate.
