전복양식업의 생산효율성 분석

Abstract

The purpose of this study is estimating the production efficiency of abalone aquaculture and finding its determinants by using the survey data of 2015 operating expenses. Firstly, both DEA and Super-DEA models were applied to estimate production efficiency of each abalone aquaculture household as DMU. Utilized input variables are wages, cost of feeding and area, also, utilized output variables of the model are annual profits and annual sales. Secondly, the study utilized both Tobit and OLS model. These models were applied to identify determinants of the estimated production efficiency. Utilized potential determinants are cost-ratio, depreciation costs, careers, value of living seeds, cleaning costs of aquaculture ground and ratio of 1 and 2 year-old abalone at shipment. The results of this study show us that the average technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, and scale efficiency score turn out to be 72%, 81% and 85% respectively. Average efficiency scores of the Super-BCC and Super-CCR models were revealed as 81% and 80%. Next, all of the independent variables was identified as determinants of the efficiency by regression analysis. The study result implies that the production efficiency can be improved by cleaning the ground and hence lowering the death rate of seed.
