- Abstract
- Although most agree that 'games are fun', it is not clear why 'games are fun'. The reason is uncertainty of game and fun. Despite these difficulties, the fun and funfactor of the game are the essence of the game that has to be studied continuously. In Korea, there are few researches on the funfactor of games, and there is a lack of research on various games. Most of the domestic game research is centered on MMORPG. Therefore, in this article, we tried to help the study of domestic game lacking diversity by analyzing a new genre game called AOS and team-based shooting game. Especially, AOS and team-based shooting games have been popular in recent years. First of all, AOS and team-based shooter games have fun and funfactor, compared with MMORPG. Next, we looked at why AOS and team-based shooting games are so popular by analyzing the fun and funfactor of AOS and team-based shooting games. AOS and team-based shooting games are first and foremost challenging fun and fun elements in the game. Second, unlike MMORPG, which has to indirectly feel a sense of accomplishment through game character, AOS and team based shooting game can directly feel player's sense of accomplishment in game ability. For both of these reasons, AOS and team-based shooter games are as popular as MMORPGs in the past, and will continue to grow. "Why is the game funny?" Is a difficult challenge to solve. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to continue studying the fun and fun elements of various games to grasp the intrinsic fun of the game.
