Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of board games on the sociality and self - efficacy in elementary school children and to suggest a board game program to promote sociality and self – efficacy. The aim of this study is to prospect for the theories of sociality and self – efficacy through board game. A. Do board game affect the improvement of elementary school children’s sociality? B. Do board game affect the improvement of elementary school children’s self-efficacy?

The results of the study were as follow. First, the effect of board games on elementary school children' sociality was overall significant in all of Sub-factor. Second, the effect of board games on elementary school children' self-efficacy was suggestive in all of Sub-factor. The result of this study reveals that board game program is practical as a tool to enhance sociality and self-efficacy.
