- Abstract
- In this life, automobile is changing from transportation to living space. Accordingly, The design of the automobile air conditioning system is to improve the comfort of the driver, as well as improved performance. Thermal environment of a vehicle parked outdoors in the summer has a thermal load limit due to the strong solar radiation. The characteristics of the thermal environment in the passenger compartment are different from those in the general building structure. Typically, the temperature distribution is uneven. The thermal environment inside the passenger compartment is often narrow, and uneven temperature distributions occur frequently because the seat and internal components interfere with airflow. Vehicles parked in outdoor sunshine, especially in summer, cause indoor temperature rise of 60 ~ 70 ℃ due to radiant heat and outside air through sunlight, causing driver's uncomfortable feeling of heat. It is essential to improve the air conditioning system to improve the comfort of the passenger compartment, and it is necessary to analyze the enumeration inside the vehicle. In this study, a numerical model about the thermal environment of an outdoor parked car in summer, where the driver has a great discomfort, is implemented and the improvement of the indoor thermal environment is sought through the implemented numerical model.
