초등영어 문법 교수학습에 대한 교사의 인식

Abstract
Because there is awareness that grammatical accuracy is not a problem if communication is possible in the elementary English education system in Korea of EFL environment, the teaching in class is weakening. However, grammar ability is an important part of communication skills, and grammar education is necessary for developing students' potential language skills and accurate communication skills.
In this context, I think it is necessary to recognise the teacher's awareness of the necessity and usefulness of grammar, knowledge and confidence in the teaching of a grammer, perception of which method and order should be taught at any point in a certain content of grammar. Because of this necessity, I investigated the teachers' perception of teaching and learning of grammar based on the results of the actual grammar teaching experiences of elementary school English teachers.
The survey results show that at first, the necessity of grammar is at least necessary in communication oriented curriculum of elementary schools. Secondly, teachers have experience teaching English grammar and have confidence in grammar, but there seems to be no lack of confidence in the performance and results of grammar teaching methods. So I feel the need to continue research on effective teaching method grammar. Third, the timing of grammar teaching in elementary school is most appropriate in the 5th and 6th graders who have the ability to use language, and grammar guidance is needed for accurate communication. Fourth, Although the inductive method is more effective for the content and method of English grammar instruction in the nature of elementary school students, teachers recognize that it is necessary to compromise deductive and inductive methods according to grammar contents.
This study reaffirmed the recognition of teachers who recognized the necessity of meaningful practical grammar in the communication-centered elementary schools, and suggests that it presented the task of determining how to approach grammar education in an effective manner in elementary schools.
