Abstract

The purpose of the research is to explore the meanings of play during the young children's walking activities on the Deleuze’s philosophical perspective. The participant were 26 children of four-year olds in the Haneul kindergarten and they did participate to the 20 walking activities. The researcher who was a teacher of the children collected the data through the participative observation and video documentation of the children’s play. The thematic analysis on the children’s play was performed and the meanings was interpreted with the philosophical concepts of Gilles Deleuze. The results of the analysis were as follows. The children’s play in the walking activities implied the meanings of five themes including the differentiation of the repeated play, play with affection of body, constant becoming-play, connecting play with rhizomatic encounter, and play as a moving experimentation.
