한·중 TV 예능프로그램 자막 사용 유형과 방법 분석

Abstract

The original function of the subtitles is a kind of assistive measure used when the hearing impaired, the elderly, and the recording state are not smooth. Now, the jokes and the psychological state of the speaking person are also appearing. Expresses the problematic utterances of the performers such as expressions and foreign words which do not correspond to the utterance as captions. In addition, it is unclear to what extent the author's intentional boundaries intervened in the study of existing scholars. Therefore, in this study, we intend to analyze the degree of intervention of program subtitles by introducing the point of view of narrative analysis of subtitles of four television entertainment programs of the two countries. We want to classify the case where the crew 's intention is revealed and whether the crew appears in the caption from the observer point of view. This paper is composed as follows. In Chapter 1, we discussed the purpose and necessity of research, the research subjects, research methods, and previous research. In Chapter 2, we examine the emergence of subtitles in both countries and compare and analyze the concept and type of subtitles.In Chapter 3, we first studied the use of subtitles in TV programs in both countries. As a result of analyzing the frequency of subtitles usage in both countries, the number of subtitles used in Korean entertainment program is more than the number of subtitles used in Chinese entertainment program. As a result of analyzing the subtitle types in both countries, the number of subtitles in the production crews of both countries [-] is less than the number of subtitles in the crew intention [+]. If the crew's intentions are revealed, it can be seen that both countries have more direct subtitles produced by the production team than indirect subtitles. It can be seen that the number of subtitles that the production crews did not reveal in Chinese subtitles program is much smaller than the number of subtitles produced in Korean subtitles. Next, in the analysis of subtitling method of television entertainment programs in both countries, we compared and analyzed expression that is not in accordance with language etiquette, excessive use of foreign language, excessive use of language,As a result of analyzing the number of intellectual subtitles of both countries, the number of excessive use of foreign language and foreign language expression is the highest in Korea, and the following is the number of subtitles of spacing error in expressions that do not correspond to the utterance. On the other hand, China had the least number of excessive use of foreign language and foreign language expressions, and the number of subtitling errors in the expressions that did not fit the language was the greatest. This is more than Korea .In addition, idiotic and discriminative expressions that are not in accordance with language etiquette are exposed more than in Korea. The use of profanity was less in both countries. According to the result of comparative analysis of TV entertainment program against language etiquette, the most common use of nickname word caption in HanJung entertainment program. In Korean and Chinese foreign language and foreign language expressions, there were many subtitles in foreign language cases in Korea, and subtitles in foreign language expressions appeared in both countries, but there were more subtitles in Korean entertainment programs. As a result of comparing and analyzing the spacing in expressions that do not correspond to the grammar, the production team in Korea uses the punctuation mark for every word to make the viewer 's attention focused. In this case, Chinese subtitles did not show much. Also, in Korea, there are errors in the spacing of nouns and adverbs. In terms of inaccurate word usage, there were many end - type and end - ending subtitles in Korean entertainment programs, but there were no such phenomena in Chinese entertainment program.

자막의 원래의 기능은 청각장애자거나 노인 그리고 녹음상태가 원활하지 않을 때 사용하는 일종 보조 수단인데 현재는 발화자의 농담, 심리상태까지도 나타나고 있고, 방송언어와 관련된 반말과 , 사적 호칭, 비속어 ,비하표현 어법에 맞지 않는 표현, 외래어 등 출연자의 문제적인 발화를 그대로 자막으로 표현한다. 또한 기존 학자들의 연구를 살펴보면 자막의 유형 분류가 연구자마다 다양하여 제작진의 의도성 경계가 어떠한 방법으로 개입하였는지를 밝히기가 명확하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 양국의 4편의 텔레비전 예능프로그램의 자막을 서사분석의 시점(point of view)을 도입하여 제작진의 프로그램 자막의 개입 정도를 분석하고자 한다. 제작진 의도가 드러나는 경우와 제작진이 관찰자적 관점에서 자막에 등장하는 지를 중심으로 분류하고자 한다. 본 논문은 다음과 같이 구성된다. 제 1장에서는 연구목적 및 필요성, 연구대상과 연구방법, 선행연구에 대해 살펴보았다. 제 2장에서는 이론적 배경에서 양국의 자막의 등장에 대해 살펴보고 ,자막의 개념, 유형에 대해 비교 분석했다. 제 3장에서는 먼저 양국의 텔레비전 예능프로그램의 자막 사용 현황에 대해 연구했다. 양국의 자막 사용 빈도를 분석한 결과 한국의 예능 프로그램에서 사용되는 자막 건수는 중국 예능프로그램에서 사용되는 자막 건수보다 많다. 또한 양국의 자막 유형을 분석한 결과 양국의 제작진의 의도[-]의 자막 건수는 모두 제작진 의도[+]의 자막 건수 보다 적다. 제작진의 의도가 드러나는 경우는 양국은 제작진이 직접적으로 개입하여 제작한 자막이 모두 간접적으로 개입한 자막보다 많음을 알 수 있다. 중국의 예능프로그램 자막에서 제작한 제작진 의도가 드러나지 않는 자막 건수는 한국의 예능프로그램 자막에서 제작한 자막 건수 보다 훨씬 적은 것을 알 수 있다. 다음, 양국의 텔레비전 예능프로그램의 자막방법 분석에서 언어 예절에 어긋나는 표현, 외래어·외국어 과다 사용, 어법에 맞지 않는 표현에 대해 비교 분석했다. 양국의 지적 자막 건수를 유형별로 분석한 결과, 한국은 외래어·외국어 표현의 과다한 사용의 건수가 제일 많고, 다음은 어법에 맞지 않는 표현에서의 띄어쓰기 오류의 자막건수의 사용이 많다. 반면 중국은 외래어·외국어 표현의 과다한 사용의 건수가 제일 적었고 어법에 맞지 않는 표현에서의 띄어쓰기 오류의 자막 건수가 가장 많았다. 이는 한국보다 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 언어 예절에 어긋나는 표현에서의 비하·차별적 표현이 한국보다 더 많이 노출되고 있다. 비속어 사용은 양국은 모두 적었다. 텔레비전 예능 프로그램을 언어 예절에 어긋나는 표현으로 비교 분석한 결과에 따르면 한중 예능 프로그램에서의 이름 별명 단어 자막 사용이 가장 많았다. 한중 외래어·외국어 표현들을 보면 한국은 외래어 경우의 자막들이 많이 나타났고, 외국어 표현의 자막들은 양국은 모두 나타나지만 한국의 예능 프로그램에서의 자막이 더 많았다. 문법에 맞지 않는 표현에서의 띄어쓰기를 비교 분석한 결과 한국은 제작진이 매 단어 마다 마침표를 사용해서 시청자들의 시선 집중하는 효과를 한다. 이 경우는 중국 예능프로그램 자막에선 많이 나타나지 않았다. 또한 한국은 품사로 보면 명사, 부사의 띄어쓰기 오류도 나타났다. 부정확한 단어 사용을 보면, 한국 예능프로그램에는 어근 종말형, 어간 종말형 자막들이 많이 나타났지만 중국 예능프로그램에는 이러한 현상들이 없었다. 제 4장에서는 1장에서부터 3장까지의 논의한 내용을 정리하여 결론을 제시하였다.
