The relationship between internet search data and monthly active users of game
Abstract
Consumers navigate information before purchasing experience products such as games. At the same time, share their experiences after purchase. In this study, we examined the correlation between internet search data and monthly active users(MAU) for US game users. We also compared the differences in strengths on the assumption of causality.
As a result, the correlation between internet search data and MAU was confirmed. The causal relationship was partially confirmed. However, the difference between the strengths between before and after was not confirmed.
This study has implications that the big data is used as the variables, the research is examined in the consumer aspect, and separating the process of searching information before and after.
