Concept of New Media and Participation of Recipient : Focusing on the Interactivity of Radio
Abstract
Thanks to the rapidly evolving technology environment, we are witnessing a variety of changes to the cultural dimension. In particular, changes in media environments, which have rapidly changed since digital technology introduction, are no longer a new phenomenon.

At this time, I think we need to rethink the nature of the media called old media and new media. Because the use of the past media has changed the relationship since entering the New Media era, provided the use of the perfect information was objective. In other words, it is not simply the enhancement of the quality of the new media and the spread of radio waves that can be characterized by advances in technology and audience relationships.

In particular, Jay David Bolter and Richard Grusin can see the decline in the audience's involvement when technological advances make it possible for technological advances to become more unilateral. Therefore, considering the state of these changes, I think the new concept of New Media is necessary.

The paper analyzed the changes in the media landscape by concentrating on the importance of radio, digital radio, and radio waves, particularly on radio, digital radio, and other aspects of internet radio. In other words, we analyzed the New Media Characteristics through Interactivity and Collective Intelligence theory, and analyzed examples of Internet dedicated players, visible radios, and podcasts that are well utilized. Finally, we looked at the features of the wireless environment in which the radio could survive.
