사업소외 배관의 사고 피해 영향 범위 감소를 위한 연구
- Abstract
- Recently, there have been many discussions about the underground piping in Ulsan, since these is one of the most important safety issues.
As various industries have been growing, the usage of petrochemical feedstock has also rapidly increased, and the number of pipe in the Ulsan National Industrial Complex has also been increased.
Now, a total of 1,293 km of underground pipelines at 62 companies is installed and operate in Ulsan.
Among massive pipeline, high-rick gas pipelines account for about 1,159km, oil pipelines, and chemical pipelines are installed and are currently in operation.
For the past three years, five gas leakage accidents have occurred in Ulsan National Industrial Complex. Also, the response time of these leak accident was delayed for 8 hours or more, which may lead to second major accidents. subsequently.
Therefore, this study aims to suggest a systematic to prepare method quick response and reduce the amount of leakage as installing an emergency shutdown device which block and mitigate the accident in case an accident occurs outside factories.
It was surveyed that how many safety equipment and emergency shutdown device are installed among 32 pipelines between Petrochemical complex and Ulsan Port in which is the closest place to residential areas.
It was investigated that there is no emergency shutdown device and shutoff valves are installed at only one workplace among 32 pipelines.
In this study, ALOHA program is employed to perform the consequence analysis, in order to compare the range of accidents with or without the emergency shutdown device the emergency shutdown devices mitigate the large amount of damages on accidents.
According to the results in this study, it would be helpful to reduce the range of the accident damage from the accident that may occur in the external piping if the workplace having the business off - site pipe installs the emergency shut - off device.
