Abstract
The purpose of the research is to expand the educational and practical horizons about children's happiness by analyzing the happiness that children have experienced in educational situations. The research question was ‘what is the meanings of the happiness that children have experienced in school?’
The participants were thirty five 5 year old children. The data were collected through 2 times individual interview and pictorial representation on happiness experiences, and were analyzed by systematic analytic hierarchy processes. The results were as follows.
First, the spatial of the happiness that children have experienced in child education institutions was interpreted to have meaning of 'open space where meaning is created'.
Second, the physical happiness that children have experienced in child education institutions was interpreted to have meaning of 'free body which is across the boundaries'.
Third, the time of the happiness that children have experienced in child education institutions was interpreted to have meaning of 'time of daily life and flow'.
Finally, the relationship of the happiness that children have experienced in child education institutions was interpreted to have meaning of 'intimate and comfortable relations'.
