Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the safety awareness and to show the importance of school safety education so I surveyed difference of awareness of safety education of 4∼6 grades of elementary school and safety awareness as well as the practice degree of safety awareness according to gender and grade.
Choose two elementary school where placed in Busan, surveyed of safety awareness to 4∼6 grades then 467 substantial papers were selected.
paper analyzation implement SPSS/PC+ Win. 21.0, t-test and one- way ANOVA
Here is the result.
First, Almost there is no difference to pay attention in awareness of safety education at school according to gender Yet almost significant difference according to grade.
Second, there is no difference to pay attention in safety awareness at life safety, traffic safety, first aid and disaster safety fields according to gender, Yet significant difference according to grade. Result shows outcome that is 6 to 4 grades in sequence, It means the longer the length of safety education, the greater the safety awareness. In Safety awareness and practice degree, there is significant difference in sequential outcome that order is 6 to 4 grades, It means even high safety awareness not always lead to practice. Therefore, practice education is also needed too as well as safety education.
Third, in view of relation ship between safety awareness and practice degree, in principle both boys and girls has positive relationship, so there is only slight difference. However, in grade, there is significant positive relationship in order of 6-4-5 grade.
Based on this, I suggest some proposals for a follow-up study.
First, This study is based on basic safety education that implementing at school to find differences according to gender and grades. Result of study, there is no difference in gender yet a slight difference in grade. To prove Strengthen of safety awareness influences on prevention and practice of safety accident, considering the examination method that split up groups into experimental group and controlled group, is worth too.
Second, Socially, by perception that importance of safety has going current, safety education is strengthen at school and difference in grade is significant, Therefore, it is necessary to examine students' safety awareness about prevention of violence, personal protection, prevention of cyber addiction and job safety fields that have not surveyed yet.
Third, Although have high sense of safety awareness, it can't be consonance with practice degree. Therefore, it is necessary to development of safety education program that emphasis on habituation to safety awareness formed by education leads to practice.
Fourth, Still at school, it has high proportion that a class teacher takes charge of safety education. The Ministry of Education and the Office of Education has to provide information and skill consistently for teachers by school staff-oriented duty training to class teachers lead systematic safety education. Also, it is necessary to train professional teacher who is run in a systematic manner that whole school's safety education system.
