Abstract: The BWMS (Ballast Water Management System) has a negative impact on the marine environment due to ballast water and sediments in other marine areas. Therefore, a device capable of handling ship ballast water is installed on a large ship and is placed under a certain size in tests to obtain USCG (US Coast Guard) certification as a device to kill living organisms , phytoplankton and zooplankton present in natural ecosystems are enriched and tested.
Comparing the concentration efficiency of the drum filter and the concentrator, 96.4% of the concentrator and 26.15% of the drum filter were measured, and the amount and species of concentrated phytoplankton were determined.
Concentration of 25 ㎛ and 38 ㎛ filter with a concentrator with higher concentration efficiency resulted in higher concentration efficiency of 96.5% at 25 ㎛.
Compared with 25 ㎛, 8° and 25 ㎛ and 13°, the concentration of the concentrator was 25 ㎛ and the highest efficiency was 94.64% at 13° rpm 22.
