가상데스크톱 구축 사례를 통한 비용절감에 관한 연구

Abstract

국내 다수의 기업들은 비즈니스 환경의 급격한 변화에 따른 IT 자원의 급속한 증가로 인해, 관리와 운영의 측면에서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 특히 기업의 PC 수 증가와 관리는 비용적인 측면에서 뿐만 아니라 운영 및 관리 역량의 부족, 환경적인 제약 그리고 전담인력 부족이라는 문제에 봉착해 있다. 제2의 PC 혁명이라 불리우는 가상데스크톱(VDI)은 기존 개인용 컴퓨터 환경에서 인터넷 도입, 확산으로 서버 클라이언트 환경의 광대역 고성능 네트워크를 통해 클라우드컴퓨팅 환경으로 변화하였다. 클라우드 컴퓨팅 시스템은 가상화된 데스크톱을 원격 클라이언트의 저장장치가 아닌 중앙서버에 저장하고, 데스크톱을 사용할 때 사용자가 원격 클라이언트를 통해 중앙 서버에서 데스크톱 서비스를 제공하는 기술로서, 기업의 영업비밀 및 고객정보에 대한 보안강화 중요성 증대와 IT인프라 자산 사용을 극대화, 효율적인 자원관리 방안을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구는 PC의 추가 구매, 확장, 관리 및 운영을 포함하여 기업에서 증가하는 비즈니스 요구 사항을 충족시키기 위해, 인력 및 에너지와 같은 기반 자원을 보다 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 VDI 구축 사례를 기업의 비용절감 측면에서 분석한다. 또한 본 연구는 사례를 통해 총소유비용(TCO) 및 기업 측면의 비용절감 효과를 제시하여 도입 고려시 편견 또는 저항감을 없애고자 한다. 이런 VDI 솔루션을 기업이 보편적으로 도입함으로써 경제성 및 가용성을 확보하는 계기가 될 것이다.

Cloud computing systems store virtualized desktops on a central server, rather than on a remote client's storage device, and as a remote client, they provide desktop services from the central server through This study provides a more efficient use of the underlying resources such as people and energy to meet the growing business requirements of the enterprise, including the additional purchase, expansion, management, and operation of the PC. The study also seeks to eliminate bias or resistance in the adoption of this study by providing examples of total cost of ownership(TCO) and company-side cost savings. This will enable enterprises to adopt these VDI solutions in a common manner to ensure affordability and availability.
