- Abstract
- Fused deposition modelling(FDM) is a rapid prototyping(RP) process that fabricates part layer by layer by deposition of molten thermoplastic material extruded from a nozzle. RP system has many benefits. One of the benefits would be the ability to experiment with physical objects of any complexity in a relatively short period of time. But it has a problem of surface roughness and geometric accuracy.
